Those of you with POLY Insert Engine mounts

i bought a kit for my 98 gsr...
it's the 16.1106R part number polyurethane
engine mount insert kit...
it doesn't fit! the only one that fit was the rear mount... does it need to be modified?
anyone know? or did i buy the wrong kit?

you have the right kit.
the other two mounts is on the bottom, not the top two.

Yup. Also on the rear one. I looked at this for a while, and I couldn't figure out how to remove it. Any ideas?

I just installed the front two mounts on my friends car this weekend...that back one looks like a monster to do!!.....it looks like you have to get to the mount bolts from the top...you better have air tools!!....my friend is going to get it installed at a shop in the next day or two...I will ask him how they did it....has anyone here done it yet??...

rear mount...

take off your intake... jack up car... lift is better. get it pretty high... enough to get to the rear bottom bolts. (2 of them) Then you can get to the rear mount bolt via where you took off the intake.

after you loosen the bottom 2 bolts, then loosen and remove the top 2 bolts. THERE ARE 4 BOLTS IN ALL. carefully remove the bracket thru the bottom of the car, otherwise good luck trying to get it through the top

you can either put in the inserts w/ the mount on (hard as shit to do) or unbolt the mount and then put in the bushings.

reassembly is the opposite... look for the other motor mount question for all the torques on the bolts.

its easier to take out the bracket than put it in.... GOOD LUCK. 2-3 hours

When I look under the car I can bearly see the bushing. I can see it from the top, but I cannot see how you could get a tool up from underneath. Looks like air tools are nearly required to do the rear bushing. Is this rear one bigger, and all round?

i have my rear insert installed...

the driver side and passenger side mounts don't fit... the notches of the insert don't line up with the stock mounts....
anyone know?

waste of money.....

The side two mounts DO fit, but you're looking at the wrong mounts.

You put the inserts in at the mounts you can see from the wheel wells. You can see the 2 large mount bolts in each of the front wheel wells.
